The OSB team had yet another stunning performance at the John Molson Undergraduate Case Competition (JMUCC) in Canada where they took home a prestigious second prize.
This annual, multi-round case competition was a weeklong event in the heart of downtown Montreal that pitted 24 international teams from renowned business schools in fierce competition. The team was comprised of Joelle Lahhoud, Ahmad Tayara, Roy Merheb, Kareem Ayoub, and coached by lecturer of strategic management and international case competition program coordinator Hagop Panossian and instructor of accounting and finance Ali Charif.
The students had a 20-minute window to present their solution to a panel of judges, with an additional 10 minutes for Q&A from the judging panel. This year, students tested their creative and analytical skills on subjects ranging from HR and marketing, sustainability and corporate social responsibility, Fintech, as well as operations and logistics cases.
Team member Ahmad Tayara received Best Speaker Award, presented to two speakers (one male, one female) who performed exceptionally in the final round of the competition. After receiving the recognition, Tayara commented that, “over the competition week, I was able to apply everything I've learned at OSB to solve real dynamic cases from multiple industries. It was a truly unforgettable experience."
