Reach Mentoring, the first non-profit organisation dedicated to mentorship and leadership of women professionals in the Middle East, has partnered with the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business at American University of Beirut (AUB), to provide further education and development to professional women in Lebanon.
As part of the Memorandum of Understanding agreement, Suliman S. Olayan School of Business (AUB) is the official educational partner of Reach Mentoring in Lebanon, delivering executive education workshops open to both mentors and mentees.
Reach Mentoring offers the only structured mentoring programme for women professionals in the Middle East, pairing highly trained male and female mentors across all industry sectors with aspiring female professionals through algorithmic matching, which allows for compatibility pairing of various personal attributes.
The one-year programme provides professional mentorship for women in business, and equips them with the skills needed to succeed in the workplace. Since its inception, Reach Mentoring has had over 200 professional women complete the mentoring programme across the Middle East.
Reach Board Member Jumana Abu-Hannoud commented: “This partnership will hugely benefit our mentors and mentees in Lebanon, giving them an opportunity to further develop their professional skills through an established and reputable business school. Reach Mentoring aims to provide professional women with a holistic programme of development and empowerment – from mentoring, to networking events, education and workshops. It is through these partnerships that we are able to develop and strengthen our network and our offering to our mentors and mentees."
Established in 2000, as an independent school of business, the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business is changing business education in the MENA region through its world-class programmes, research hubs and initiatives including research of entrepreneurship, innovation, corporate social responsibility, sustainability, data analytics, finance, and corporate governance.
Steve Harvey, Dean and Professor at the American School of Beirut, said: “We are delighted to be the educational partners of Reach Mentoring in Lebanon. Supporting and empowering the advancement of women in the workplace is a value we share with Reach and we look forward to being an extension of its invaluable programme."
