The Darwazah Center for Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship (DC) of the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business (OSB) has been organizing Hackathons for Lebanon since May 2021.
The purpose of the Hackathons for Lebanon is to engage the Lebanese youth in solving local pressing problems in Lebanon. Our hackathons are unique because we combine both technical and business venture-building know-how, which we have run successfully with international and local partners.

The Shortlisting Process
The Hackathon is a marathon-like process conducted over three consecutive days, where participants work intensively to take their startup idea to the next level.
Submitting an application does not guarantee one participation to the hackathon. Applicants will receive emails on whether they were selected to participate or not to the event based on a thorough selection process. We aim for everybody to make it, however, for practical reasons, no more than 6-8 teams are allowed.
As a matter of policy and also for variety other reasons, the jury deliberations are confidential and also the teams that are not admitted to the hackathon cannot be provided with any feedback or debriefing as to the reasons why they were not selected.
