The AUB-OSB Third Case Conference - What you missed

The AUB-OSB Third Case Conference, organized by The Case Hub at the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business (OSB), American University of Beirut (AUB), was held on February 20-21, 2025, at the American University of Beirut–Mediterraneo in Paphos, Cyprus. It gathered 120 academics and business professionals from 17 countries and 50 institutions.

The two-day event, supported by Ivey Publishing as conference partner, featured dynamic discussions, insightful keynote speeches, and collaborative workshops focused on advancing the case method in business education. It welcomed academics, business professionals, and case-writing experts, serving as a platform to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry.

Inspiring Keynotes & Talks

Dominic Lim, Associate Professor at Ivey Business school, shared his insights on his journey of case-based teaching.
Jegor Tsihnjajev, Managing Director and Partner at BCG, explored case studies in talent management and beyond.
Kamel Abdallah, Adjunct Professor at the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business (OSB) at AUB and Managing Director and CEO at Canal Sugar, discussed academia-industry collaboration.
Ihsan Zakri, Regional Head Middle East and Africa at AACSB, examined the impact of case-based learning in business schools, emphasizing the importance of relevance and quality in case writing.
Olga Kandinskaia, NACRA Past President, demonstrated how case studies go beyond soft skills, enhancing finance education.
Hagop Panossian, Senior Lecturer at OSB showcased case competitions as a powerful experiential learning tool.
