Academic assessment processes were revamped to meet the self-study key area for improvement “Establish a well-defined mechanism for the integration and continuous improvement of the institution’s educational assessment processes”. These revised processes integrated Middle States Commission On Higher Education (MSCHE) Standards for Accreditation and were aligned with the university strategic goal of innovation and academic excellence. The related guidelines, templates and forms were revised following a benchmarking exercise with best practices, in an effort to generate concise, analytical, and actionable knowledge in support of evidence-based decision making.
This initiative was led by Associate Provost Fida Afiouni, Mrs. Boushra Rahal, Director of Institutional Accreditation, and Mrs. Dania Salem, Assistant Director and Program Assessment Coordinator.
