Announcement and call for applications for the Intissar Ahdab Award for Women’s Excellence and Impact in Research

AY 2025-26 Cycle

Scope of Award

The Intissar Ahdab Award for Women’s Excellence and Impact in Research recognizes outstanding scholarship of women faculty members at AUB. The prize is supported by a generous gift from Trustee Hana El Samad and is awarded annually to one female faculty member whose scholarly contribution has had a significant social impact and/or brought innovation to their field of research or creative work. The awardee will receive a recognition plaque and a $5,000 cash award. In case of more than one recipient in any cycle, the cash award will be divided equally.

For this year’s cycle, the award is open only to women faculty at the Assistant Professor rank across all disciplines.
