URVP was established in 2019 as an initiative for undergraduate students who are interested in research experience early on in their academic journey. It was designed based on the success of the
Medical Research Volunteer Program (MRVP), which was established at AUB in 2014. URVP provides undergraduate students with opportunities to advance their knowledge via experiential learning, enhance their critical thinking and teamwork skills, and deepen their understanding of research beyond what is normally offered in the curriculum. Students from all undergraduate majors at AUB can apply to volunteer research opportunities within the following URVP programs:
- MRVP - Medical Research Volunteer Program
- AS-RVP - Arts and Sciences Research Volunteer Program
- BRVP - OSB Research Volunteer Program
- EA-RVP - MSFEA Research Volunteer Program
- FAST-RVP - Food and Agricultural Sustainable Technologies Research Volunteer Program
- HRVP - Health Research Volunteer Program
- NRVP - Nursing Research Volunteer Program
