On April 2019, AUB became the first university with an accredited Continuing Education Center (CEC) in the MENA region by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET) in Washington. The accredited CEC programs include 31 certificates and nine diplomas in eight different categories: business and management, cultural and humanitarian studies, education, fine arts, foreign languages, health care (soft skills), media and communications, and science and technology.
AUB's CEC is now listed in the American Council on Education's Accredited Institutions of Postsecondary Education Directory and the CHEA Almanac of External Quality Review, which are widely utilized by government agencies and corporations for identifying credible education and training organizations relative to establishing tuition reimbursement policies.
With ACCET accreditation, CEC students can use internationally transferable Continuing Education Units (CEUs), trusting the administrative and instructional capabilities attested to according to international standards. With an international license, and renewed commitment to set criteria, doors for expanded partnership and support are already opening, attesting to the quality of instructors, courses, and management.
