An annual conference will be held to serve as a gathering point for the comics and scholarly community at large, with the goal to promote and advance the field and to encourage the publication of artistic and scholarly works on comics.

The conference will host local, regional and international comics artists, writers and researchers.

In conjunction with the Mahmoud Kahil Award.​
