    ​Definition: An item master is a record that lists the description, unit of measure, weight, dimensions, ordering quantity, and so forth for an item, it is a master record for a type of inventory or non-inventory item.

    The item master includes the item description, materials and handling specifications, sales and fulfillment specifications, and sometimes MMD's specific information.

    The supply chain office is the custodian of the item master module on the Oracle application for AUB & AUMBC and is responsible for the database, moreover, the supply chain office also creates items on AS400, our functions include, but are but limited to, the following:

    Creation for Non PEC items (Consignment & Store items) AUB & AUBMC.
    Creation for PEC items AUBMC.
    Creation for Ink and toners AUB & AUBMC.
    Creation for drug items AUBMC.
    Creation for OR consignment orthopedic items loan sets AUBMC.
    Creation for Expense items AUB & AUBMC.
    Creation for non-medical items AUB & AUBMC

    Update

    ​The supply chain office is the custodian of the item master module on the Oracle application for AUB & AUMBC and is responsible for the database, our functions include, but are but limited to, the following:

    Update on Item Master file.

    • Update status (Active / Inactive).
    • Update Description.
    • Update Cost price.
    • Update Selling price.
    • Update organization.
    • Update NSSF code.​
