Since 2004, AUB has been continuously accredited as an institution by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), a voluntary, nongovernmental, peer-based membership association dedicated to promoting standards of excellence and improvement in higher education.
Having last been accredited in 2019, AUB is on schedule to prepare a new Self-Study Report in preparation for a site visit in spring 2028 by an evaluation team appointed by MSCHE.
Significantly, this self-study will include for the first time our twin campus, AUB Mediterraneo, as well as AUB Online and the AUB Academic and Executive Hub in Dubai.
This self-study process began in the fall of 2025 with the establishment of a steering committee, chaired by Provost Zaher Dawy and co-chaired by Associate Provost Jocelyn DeJong, as well as seven working groups. The working groups are composed of trustees, faculty, staff, and students from our Beirut and Pafos campuses. Each working group will address one of the seven standards for accreditation set by MSCHE.
