  Founded in 1866, the American University of Beirut is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members. Hania Kamel Saab

I have always been drawn to art, but only two years ago, and through AUB University for Seniors (member since Fall 2016), I started dedicating time to creating artwork. l am fascinated by the colour and texture in impressionist paintings.

This still life was produced on canvas. I was interested in the contrast between textures and colours and the challenge of creating shadows and light.
