  Founded in 1866, the American University of Beirut is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members. Kamal Abou Hussein

Kamal Abu-Husayn (1979-2018). Lebanese poet, writer, editor and artist. BA English Literature from AUB. Was working on MA thesis in literature in 2018. Kamal’s work is presented by his Mother, Rola Baalbaki, a full-time instructor of literary translation at the English and Arabic Departments at AUB.
