Communication Campaign

Beginning in spring 2017, the Communication Subcommittee of the Tobacco-Free Task Force launched a campus-wide communication campaign. This began with banners hung across campus and at AUBMC, large signs displaying the phasing-out map, and rebranding the brown benches that used to mark smoking areas around campus.

The AUB Neighborhood Initiative also initiated a student competition to come up with innovative and sustainable solutions to address concerns about litter on the sidewalks from people who go outside campus to smoke.
