USAID University Scholarship Program
Research Assistant needed for the University Scholarship Program (USP)

The American University of Beirut is pleased to introduce and launch the Higher Education Scholarship (HES) which offers university-bound students a unique opportunity to pursue quality higher education. The HES award consists of two components:

Component 1: The University Scholarship Program (USP VIII)

Component 2: Refugee Scholarship Support (RSS)

From its inception during AY 2011-12 to date, 436 scholars with equal gender distribution were granted the USP comprehensive scholarship award to complete their undergraduate studies at AUB. A total of 50 scholars graduated under the USP II phase, 51 under the USP IV, 57 under USP V, and 16 under USP VI to date, thus making the total number of scholars who graduated from the program 174. Currently the total number of enrolled scholars is 262.

This goal is made possible by the cooperation of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) whose generous support by the American people for the USP cohorts is an undoubted demonstration of the relentless commitment to giving the fair chance for deserving students the opportunity to study at AUB as a top university in the Middle East.
