Charbel Dib interned with SOS Children’s Village, a non-profit organization that aims to promote and advocate for children’s rights, especially those who are deprived of parental care or at risk of losing it.
Being an undergraduate scholar majoring in mathematics, Charbel was responsible for conducting tutoring sessions to grade 9 students covering math, physics, and Arabic. He dedicated his time and efforts to developing and designing comprehensive lesson plans and interactive educational activities.
Despite the many challenges he faced, Charbel was committed to achieving his goals, as he perceived it as an opportunity to enhance both his skills and competencies in his field of study, while also serving his community. Charbel stated: “seeing how the students progressed throughout my time with them instilled in me a feeling of satisfaction as I was able to positively impact their academic performance. Although my intervention on a global scale is minor, on the level of my community it is significant as I believe I taught with passion and purpose.”
