Mery Charbel Fadlallah, a newly accepted HES Cycle III student couldn’t contain her joy: “I am so grateful, and proud that I reached my first goal, and I am an AUB student!” Determined to remain the beacon of hope through these dark times, the AUB USAID launches its HES Cycle III for the AY 2021-22 to provide the best possible future for many outstanding Lebanese and refugee students from across Lebanon.
After receiving hundreds of applications from Lebanese and non-Lebanese refugee students, 97 USP applications and 33 RSS applications were shortlisted and notified. After thorough evaluation of financial needs, sitting for individual interviews, completing their EEE exams, evaluating their high school grades, as well as, their official exams, 45 USP VIII Cycle III and 21 RSS cycle III students were finally selected.
September 2nd was a good day for 23 regular students admitted as they came to AUB to sign the Memorandum of Understanding and receive their laptops, followed by the 42 University Preparatory Program Students on September 3rd, marking the beginning of an exciting journey full of welcomed challenges, and the forging of a better future.
