This web part displays a list of items. Each item may consist of a Title, picture, Brief, Date, Category, Link and Location:
To create the backend:
- Open your site
- Select "Site Contents"
- Click "Add an app"
- Select "Listing" from the templates
- A popup window will show asking about the name of the new list. Use a descriptive name without spaces or any special characters.
To add a Listing, click on add new, then fill the properties
To add the Web part to a page:
- Open the page where you want to add the Webpart
- Click on "Edit" on the top right corner, if you cant edit the page make sure it is not checked-out by someone else
- Click "Add a Web Part" in the zone you want to add it
- From the categories select "AUB Main Website" and then select "Listing"
The last step is to bind the web part to the list we created:
- Open the page where you added the Webpart
- Click on "Edit" on the top right corner to open the page in edit mode, if you cant edit the page make sure it is not checked-out by someone else
- Move the mouse over the top right corner of the web part, a small arrow will show, click on it and then select "Edit Web Part"
- In the web part properties window set "List Name" to the name of the list we created, and then click "OK":
