Dr Chami is an American board certified Pulmonary, Critical and Sleep Medicine specialist and an associate professor of medicine at the American University of Beirut. He obtained his medical degree from the American University of Beirut in 2000 then completed his training at Duke and Boston University where he was on faculty. He joined the American University of Beirut and started the endobronchial ultrasound service at the medical center in 2010. He currently directs the Respiratory Care Unit and the Pulmonary Rehabilitation center, he also teaches at the medical school and conducts research with a focus on the health effects of waterpipe smoking and sleep health.
