As an AUB undergraduate, AUB was my natural first choice for higher education as it provides the ideal environment for intellectual and cultural growth. As a newly Master’s in Human Resource Management graduate from the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business (OSB), I found inspiration in the program, giving me impetus to contribute to society from a Human Resources perspective: notions of fairness, equity, ethics, practicality, and technical development hugely influenced my approach in business decision-making. This was all down to OSB professor’s positive encouragement and engagement, their teaching styles in adapting to the pandemic, the content of their lectures and guest speakers, and the importance of their project assignments. I did have a favorite course though, HR Consultancy, which not only worked on understanding and practicing consultancy techniques, but actually unleashed great interpersonal skills that I never imagined existed in me.
