Welcome to the Rafic Hariri School of Nursing! This is your home for unique and rich opportunities in education, research, and community engagement.
Although the school has a long and rich history, we keep abreast of the most recent developments in nursing and health. When I was a nursing student, the school offered just a bachelor's degree program. The master's program was introduced in 2003, followed by a PhD in nursing in 2018. The nursing school became AUB's seventh Academic Faculty in 2018.
Our faculty members are seasoned educators, innovative researchers, renowned leaders (including two former presidents of the Order of Nurses in Lebanon), experienced practitioners, and dedicated service providers both locally (as founders of scientific nursing societies in Lebanon), and globally. Our students are committed, championing health campaigns and supporting their communities. Our graduates are in high demand. Our alumni shine wherever they go.
Despite all the difficulties we face, we continue to excel. Working together, we have maintained our accreditation with the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. We have turned challenges into opportunities to, for example, build our online presence. We are launching new online programs that cater to busy professionals. The online professional Diploma in Nursing Education will start Fall 2024-25 . We are also thrilled to announce that our new MSN track: The MSN in Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist is HERE!
Our school was chosen to host an interdisciplinary Scholars Activist for Impact and Learning for change (SAIL for change) program at AUB that grew out of the experience of the August 4, 2020, explosion in the Beirut port. We have also been invited to host a Center of Excellence in Research for the Scientific Society of Arab Nursing Faculties, a recognition of our faculty members, who lead the region in terms of research achievements and productivity.
We continue to aspire to reach new heights in teaching, research, and service in the pursuit of excellence. Join us and see for yourselves!
