Following the release of the Commitment to Reducing Inequality (CRI) Index report, in October 2020, by Oxfam and Development Finance International (DFI), the AUB Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs (IFI) partnered with Oxfam Lebanon to explore the issue of inequality in Lebanon and come up with policy recommendations to reduce inequality.
In this context, IFI and Oxfam held a closed roundtable discussion on inequality-related policies with different stakeholders and experts, followed by a webinar titled “The road to reducing inequality in Lebanon: Facts and recommendations” on Monday October 26, 2020.
A policy brief and an infographic were produced exposing the conclusions of these discussions, and presenting a set of recommendations to guide policymakers in fighting inequalities in Lebanon.
