The Masri Institute hosted Prof. David Mohrig, the Associate Dean for Research of Jackson School of Geosciences at The University of Texas at Austin, in an event titled "Earth Iniative 2100" on April 18, 2018, at the American University of Beirut. Prof. Mohrig gave two talks, one titled
"Earth in 2100: Water, Energy, Land Use, and Climate" in which he elaborated on an initiative taken at UT Austin and another titled
"Exploring the Role of Extreme Events on Rivers and Coastlines" . Both seminars were followed by a Q & A session.
