The Masri Institute hosted Prof. David Mohrig, the Associate Dean for Research  of Jackson School of Geosciences at The University of Texas at Austin, in an event titled ​"Earth Iniative 2100" on April 18, 2018, at the American University of Beirut. Prof. Mohrig gave two talks, one titled 
"Earth in 2100: Water, Energy, Land Use, and Climate" 
in which he elaborated on an initiative taken at  UT Austin and another titled "Exploring the Role of Extreme Events on Rivers and Coastlines" . Both seminars were followed by a Q & A session.
